Friday night....t minus 12 hours until the first official tee ball practice for Lexie and Katie...this coach is VERY excited!!! I can only hope that my enthusiasm for the game of baseball will somehow be contagious and they will also find that passion. Our first home 'practice' last weekend was interesting to say the least. We are still trying to figure out if Katie is in fact the lefty we think she is. My take is that she's probably ambidexterous and will make it to the majors without much problem...pitching for the....RED SOX of course! I heard they lost Curt someone or other so they are probably looking for some replacements in their farm system...so we'll keep working...she's got the attitude down...puts down her glove...and walks away "Mama, I'm bored....wanna play hopscotch?"...what can I say these pro athletes are not easy to work with. Lexie has surprisingly taken to catch like she's been doing it forever. Last weekend her an I had our first catch and she yelled at me for not "throwing the ball"...who knew? So needless to say, I'm anxious to see how they take to the 'team sport' tomorrow...there will be pictures to follow...promise! Wish us luck!!!

Ok - I think it will work now.  Can you send Lexie the organizer up here?  I have hit a wall as far as far as the setting up house goes.  Things are out of the boxes, but now they're just all over the place - like the couches in the living room are covered in picture frames.  I really need to paint something - the kitchen, the family room, the dining room, bathroom.  My art room is a mess.  People here are very nice, though I'm still trying to figure out the different groups.  Luckily, I've made "friends" with people in different groups, so I guess I can take my time before I pledge (I'm still not sure when rush week is).  I'm sorry this is brief, but I'm going to sign off and try to go to bed somewhat early tonight!
This is a test.  This blogger is very confusing.

So far this week....

Just wanted to share -

Lexie lost a tooth Monday night while having a snack before bed. She likes to hold on to her teeth for a few days before they go to the tooth fairy for her to work her magic so it was put in the 'treasure chest' waiting for her attachment to wain. On Tuesday morning while I was walking her into her classroom she lost a second tooth (actually the sixth but the second for the week). I thought she would be upset about having to go to the nurses office and have to walk into the class late. As it turns out she LOVES the nurses office because where you sit when you are not 'sick' is right in front of all the nurse things - band aids, gauze pads, tick sticks, bactine etc. and the nurse will let you help her 'organize' if you are good. Lexie LOVES to organize things so the nurses office is her new favorite place and now we have two teeth waiting on the tooth fairy!!

Kenny's vocabulary now consists of - Shu (shoe), Nuh (Lexie), AE (Katie), NaNa (banana), baba(cup), pi pi (pacifier), Bye (bye), Hi (hi), Mama (only when he is absolutely disgusted that no one is helping him reach something or he is being kept from a very important part of the house - upstairs) it sounds something like Maaaamaaa and if he were a 16 yr. old girl it would have a head tilt and an eye roll attached to it.

He likes to carry shoes around - if they have a strap, like a mary jane, that is even better. He love to tackle you if you are sitting on the ground. He backs up a few inches and then runs at you with his head leading the way and falls into you with a very loud squeal! He pushes you off of him and starts again. He likes to do this for an hour at a time. I am sure he would do it longer but I started to get tired.

I dropped Katie off at school today and while eating her second breakfast (as she does every morning) she said SHIT really loud and pounded her hand on the desk. Confused and slightly embarrassed by the sight of Larry in a towel - I asked her to repeat what she said to be sure I heard it right. Well, before she could answer the other 3 kids also eating breakfast at the table yelled 'she said SHIT'. The breakfast club is a tight group, all for one ya know. I told them that it was a grown up word and they should not be using it again - where by Katie chimed in - yeah my mommy and mama say it Aaaallllllll the time so it's only for grown ups. I didn't even ask Katie what she was upset about in the first place - I just kissed her head and quietly walked out of the room.

That's all....

Boiled Meat

Even if I end up writing to myself, this is somewhat theraputic.

This weekend we had movie night on Friday night (after Lexies dance class) and then watched icarley for four hours - yes, four hours. On Sat I took Kenny to get his second first pair of shoes. One of his first first pair of shoes disappeared over a week ago. I am fairly certain that he threw it away (put it in the garbage after walking around with it for an hour). As a result I will now examine every bag that goes to trash or recycling for various items. I did find the TV remote in the recycling bag just a few minutes ago. Chris took the girls for mitts (mitten as Katie calls it) and cleats. T-Ball starts next week so we are getting ready. I am fairly certain that I will have more details on this subject as times goes on!!

We left for Jennys around 3:30 and after spending 1/2 hour trying to get the wireless video screens set up we were on the road. Katie picked out a lovely red Belle dress and brought her bride dress for she and Jenny to wear while they were baking. She felt that Jenny would look good in red and the bride dress is her favorite so while she loves Jenny and all she gave her the second favorite dress for the baking attire. I informed Jenny that it was going to be a formal bake time and to be sure her hair and nails were done appropriately.

My battery is dying so I need to sign off. I will finish this story another night. I am sure you will all tune in!!

Kisses,
k

I sent another e-mail

Erica - I think you should be able to get in now. Just use the option at the top of the screen to post. You don't have to comment, just post.

Lets see -

Today was dance class for Lexie and they are getting ready for the recital. She is in 'dance school musical' and their dance will be a mish mash of several of their favorite shows from previous practices. They are doing - supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, step in time, a song from HMS 2 and from camp rock. Lexie is the shortest one in the class by a foot, so she is dragged around when they lock arms, flung when they twist each other around, is straining to hold the girl that falls back into her arms etc. She has a few black & blues but loves it. One other thing, she is missing her two top teeth and now talks with the lisp she had when she was two. I could just bite her sometimes she is so cute!!

Katie is the ballerina and tapper this year - she is very funny and again the shortest in the class by a foot. She is a year younger than the rest but the only one who can walk toe - heal across the studio. This will surly come in handy when she goes to cheerleader school and becomes a professional cheerleader. This is her current goal in life. I am sure she can make allot of cash with the special cheerleader appearances - I just hope she has medical insurance and disability.

Kenny is very very funny - or at least he thinks so. He walks around laughing at nothing - just bursts out laughing for no reason then looks at you like your nuts when you talk to him. He seems to want to be alone with the voices in his head I guess because the voices are so funny. Katie is the only one who comes close to the voices in his head. Na, as he calls Lexie, is the best big sister who does not want to her bro to get any sort of callus on his feet - she never lets them touch the ground.

OK for today - just needed to share. What you got???

HERE WE GO

Not much to say right now other than I am very proud of myself for setting this up!! I have wanted to do this for a while but just never got around to it. Yippee, I did it. I will try to post pictures and stuff like that but it will take me a while to figure out the 'widget' feature.

We are going up to Jenny's this weekend for the annual 'boiled dinner' party. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone. Katie insists that Pop Pop and Grandma Barbara are coming back from Malt ball (aka Malta) for the party and then will fly back to their vacation. Kenny will be bringing with him anything he can carry - his favorite carry item is FOOD. This kids does not stop eating - do all boys eat this way or is it just him? He ate four pancakes yesterday and then proceeded to eat half of Lexie's waffle before he had to leave for school.

Lexie is reader of the week this week - which means line leader, weather, attendance, hand out papers, collect papers and over all teachers assistant. She gets to have her desk in the special spot at the front of the room. Overall just feeling special. She gave a book report on Monday and then read the book to the class. She got to teach by answering the kids questions on the book and pointing out spelling words in the story. Lots of fun and a very special week!!

I need to look this over more and I'll let you know how you can post to this as well. That's all for tonight.

Sweet Dreams!!
