PTA

Its been a while since I have written and so much has happened. Biggest thing is I went to my first PTA meeting.

It is a mix of the 'cool parents', the 'serious parents', the 'I'm here to get out of the house parents' and the "I am involved in everything parents'. Guess which one I fall into???

I went to get out of the house and realized that I am not really the PTA type. Its very serious and I am not a very serious type in meetings like that.

Oh well, the kids got to play in the library conference room with the student council 'babysitter' and someone actually changed Kenny's poopy diaper. Can it get any better???

I don't want to be on the Spring Fling committee, the coin drop committee, the ice cream social committee or the rollerskating committee. I said I would help where needed but not sign up for anything at this point. Have to check my calendar, need to see how work is going to be, Kenny is allergic to milk & soy etc..... There was a small group that looked impressed that I could come up with an excuse so quickly and then the rest looked at me like a traitor.

I don't think I like the militant PTA ladies so I'll stick with who I like and help with ice cream. I hear you get in early to set up and eat your ice cream before the rest of the masses show up. I am ok with that!!
